Caffe Alanno began with Karen and Mike sharing their family's love of granita at local farmers markets and events. As we've grown, one of our goals has been to make our granita more accessible without losing what makes it special.
Every batch is still handcrafted using simple, natural ingredients and a process inspired by traditional Sicilian granita-making. Fruit is incorporated before freezing, and the mixture is slowly frozen and scraped by hand at intervals to develop granita's distinctive texture.
