What is Granita?
Granita is a traditional Sicilian food typically enjoyed at breakfast with a brioche. Its ingredients consist of fruit or vegetables, water, and cane sugar mixed into a delicious, spoonable semi-frozen consistency. It can be topped with sweet ricotta, mint, or fruit, making it very refreshing! Since the base of granita is the fruit or vegetable, Mike and Karen provide the purest ingredients, sourcing only natural fruits to create this scrumptious treat. the twist of experimenting with non-traditional flavors. Mike and Karen are always exploring new flavors such as apple pie, rhubarb, chestnut, and carrot, to name a few. During the holidays, the DiCenzo’s proudly host all family gatherings where Mike tries out his new flavors on the family for the most honest feedback.
