Kicking Off the 2025 Season at SoWa Open Market!

The sun was shining, the city was buzzing, and the granita was flowing—Caffe Alanno officially kicked off our 2025 season this past weekend at Boston’s SoWa Open Market, and we couldn’t have asked for a better start!
As our first pop-up of the year, this event marked the beginning of another season filled with flavor, tradition, and community. We were so excited to see so many familiar faces and meet new granita lovers as we returned to one of Boston’s most vibrant outdoor markets.
Fan Favorites (and a Newbie!) on the Menu 🍧
For our season opener, we featured a refreshing lineup of flavors that captured the essence of spring—and introduced something brand new:
🍋 Lemon – Bright, tangy, and the definition of refreshing. Always a top choice for longtime granita fans.
🍓 Strawberry – Sweet, juicy, and kid-approved. It flew out of the cooler!
🍈 Cantaloupe – A softer, subtle sweetness that has become a quiet favorite among our regulars.
🍫 Chocolate – Our newbie flavor of the day! We introduced chocolate granita for the first time, and it was a total hit—rich, smooth, and unexpectedly light. We'll definitely be bringing it back again.
The joy of granita is in the simplicity and freshness of the ingredients, and each flavor we scooped this weekend reflected the heart of what we do: crafting handmade, all-natural granita using traditional Sicilian methods passed down through generations.
